There was a wonderful atmosphere in the building...

.....inside lots of small rooms and this building was used to film parts of the Batman film!

People were having their hair cut in one of these small rooms....

.....and having a shoe shine and a shave the old fashioned way!!!

There was a guy selling beautiful wool duffel coats in wonderful colours and styles, I have always wanted a red duffle coat and yesterday I bought one after about half an hour trying on which suited me....

...such a happy colour for winter and perfect for the very cold windy weather we have in Blackpool!!

I was 'one happy bunny'!!

These cushions were all beautifully made with vintage fabrics, art on the sofa...

...such a variety of patterns and colours....

...from www.vintage cushions.com

Made away to the other side if the building...

....beautiful handcrafted children's clothing, shoes, bags, hats, knitwear.....

....I particularly like these pictures...

...spines of old books mounted in a frame.....

....not so keen on this but original and eye catching!

It was 2 o'clock when we finished looking around so headed off to Oxford Street....

...bought these ready for winter, perfect with my red coat!!!

The day wasn't over....

...my first visit to Clarigdes....

....for cocktails!!!

Mine alcoholic...

.....my sisters non alcoholic and both delicious!!

The decor was wonderful, etched mirrors, marble and wood.

Rounded off a BRILLIANT day with a fantastic meal at Chiltern Fire House, an old converted fire station.....

....this is a photo of the ceiling, such a lovely design. When  asked if it was woven hessian I was told it had been constructed from all the old fire hoses!

Spending time with family and being treated made for a VERY SPECIAL DAY!!
