.....still frost where the sun couldn't reach....

....red, sparkly tyre decorations....

...grass and seed heads...

....grazing geese...

....walking up the hill in Richmond....

.....the Thames on lower left...

Late Autumn Colour.....

19th November 2016

A few photos taken on my favourite walk in Richmond, I have found all the colours stunning this year......

....this leaf was the size of a dinner plate!

I have been busy making 'secret' items, will share after Christmas!

A busy week....

16th October 2016

The weather has been good in Blackpool and I have had a few walks on the beach.....

.....last Sunday my Singer Curvy machine, purchased 3 years ago, refused to stitch, so I bought a new one! Haven't tried free machining yet but it stitches like a dream and so quiet...

....I finished my cushion, really pleased with it!

Also finished a baby blanket for my great nephew due in January...

....and my red pure wool jumper!!

Photo very poor due to flash!

Made muffins this week, lime and pistachio last weekend and as I had buttermilk left made these lemon and honey, a good breakfast muffin containing oat bran, made 12 yesterday and only 4 left today!!!

Yarn-bombing group yesterday, Wilma had made a seagull and 2 octopus!!

Managed two gardening sessions at the park and was amazed how warm it was when the sun emerged from the clouds.

Also finished a bobble hat and cardigan for beautiful Alba.

A good satisfying week,....

....3 pairs of trousers to shorten today and my loft space is still tidy!!!!

Printing and Stitching....

8th October 2016

I had the urge to do some printing today.....

.....used my Gelli Plate....

....selected some items from the garden...

....papers...

.....paint...

....placed the curry plant on the grey painted gelli...

.....a bit disappointing!

The 'ghost 'print', rather like this....

....again I prefer the ghost print...

....not a success!

Quite like these...

....oh dear...

.....better...

....love printing with feathers, painted the feather in gold metallic acrylic, placed on the khadi paper feather paint down and used scrap paper and a roller over the feather  to make the print.

Next I wanted to play with my hand dyed fabrics....

....inspired by Ruth Issett...

....layered 3 orange fabrics over the woven rust dyed, free machined....

.....cut back...

....then I looked at my watch and realised I was due to be at the yarn bombing group....

....Enid has knitted a fabulous seagull...

....I had a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows, delicious!

Home again and stitched my sample using variegated thread...

.....think I might add some hand stitching.

Silk and muslin strips on woven rust dyed fabric...

....free machining flower shape....

....cut back and stitched...

...really enjoyed my day, maybe make cards with my prints tomorrow!
