Paddling and Poppies!

18th June 2014

Greetings from a very sunny Blackpool!

I was on the beach at 9am this morning.....

....beautiful blues...

.....Jack testing the water....

.....Irene having a paddle.....

...Jack in the sea avoiding the waves....

....the sun was really warm and my hips are not as big as this!!!!

The sand ripples were a great foot massage!

I talked to this fisherman who was very busy digging for bait...

.....he gave me a demonstration....

.....and showed me the results of his effort....

....the one on the left is a black worm and on the right is a lug worm, about 2 inches long and these were small according to the fisherman!

He said it was much harder to find them in warm weather as they burrow deeper.

I thanked him for all this information and commented the procedure looked quite vigorous, his reply was," yes it is especially when you are 76"!!!

:::::

Reluctantly headed for home, as I was gardening in the park, but couldn't resist taking these photos on the way .....

...poppies growing wild.....

....lovely colour....

.....so beautiful....

...think I feel a poppy project coming on!!

Stitching news tomorrow.....
