Beachcombing

11th January 2014

After a very grey, wet and windy week today was a treat!

A cold north wind accompanied by brilliant sunshine was an ideal day for a long walk along the beach.

The beach had changed so much since the tidal surge and very high winds...

... pebbles and larger boulders had covered the sand near the prom...

...a deep pool of water prevented us walking on the sand.

Before the bad weather this was all sand...

... at least the sea defences worked!

Patterns made by the retreating tide...

A beautiful blue sky!

Had to pick these up and take them home...

...Jack having a roll on the wet sand ridges....

...and playing 'hide and seek' in the sand dunes!

Sadly, more erosion of the sand dunes.

My interesting finds!
