An Enjoyable Day Spent Making Cards

11th January 2015

This weather is AWFUL, very strong winds and rain so have been in my loft space for a few hours playing!!

I have so many items in my work space....

....decided to coat this honesty with acrylic wax.....

....then found this piece of calico I had printed a while ago...

.....free machined....

....then in green variegated thread I stitched over the print and added a strip of painted scrim....

....I had intended to use the honesty but it was too big...

....drew honesty on using a water soluble marker (a really useful pen)...

....I then stitched along the lines but they really didn't stand out so used white fabric paint and a gold gel pen, quite pleased with the effect...

....stitched around the edge and made a 'keepsake card'.

::::::

I made this a while ago, print on black hessian then free machined, another card....

....found these hessian flowers, stitched a button in the middle and made a set of three note cards...

.....had to use the Honesty, mounted on my own hand made paper and made three more note cards...

....a very pleasant and productive day!

Just heard from a friend in the park group that the wind has blown over the bowlers shelter  but she has managed to rescue the flower netting!!!
