Yarndale Purchases

29th September 2014

I could have bought a LOT more than I did!!!

End of range, Alpaca at a very good price, so beautifully soft and for a future project....

....from Lucy the Tudor, a braid maker...

....and I tried it out, brilliant, a bargain at only £2....

....pure wool only 50p a ball, great for the park project....

.....loved this yarn, perfect for weaving or embellishing sea/sky...

.....silk also good for embellishing....

.....I didn't intend to buy this book but the lovely young lady who wrote it was so enthusiastic and lovely to talk to and the patterns are simple and useful I just couldn't walk away without it!!!

This was a seed pod decorated with fleece from Anne Brooke, I needed it for my dried flower collection!

It looks a bit weird in this photo but is rather gorgeous!

This is from another angle at Yarndale.

Have made some crochet bunting-I made the pattern up-...

...and quite like the wavy edge!

::::

Made two cards today, this was a dried leaf encased in organza and machine embroidered....

....felted, machine embroidered and french knots.

It actually looks better than the photo!
