Since I moved up into my loft space, 9 months ago, I have been searching for the metal templates I bought to use with my soldering iron! This weekend I took my book with ideas for using a soldering iron off the shelf and guess what...... my templates were all in a bag inside the book, the one place I didn't look!!!!
I proceded to play.....
....I cut wavy strips from blue, grey and green organza to make a 'sea background'......
.....using some of my thread fabric, that was left after the seahorse, cut out simple fish and stitched....
....this is going in my beach/sea book.
:::::::
Made a chocolate Easter cake.....
.....only two slices left!!
::::::
The baby blanket is growing.
:::::
Made more paper beads from my own papers....
....used these for 'feet' for my hanging birds.
:::::
I completed two secret projects which I will share when the recipients have received them.
::::::
Preparing for an experiment from my soldering iron book.....
.....this is a piece of acrylic felt which has been coated with diluted PVA, then Gesso....
...I will stitch the surface tomorrow when dry....
.....and finally......
.....free machining using variegated thread on pale blue silk backed by Vilene...
.....will also finish this and make a card tomorrow.
I have enjoyed my creative few days.
