Work produced by the class this week.....

These are pieces of work produced by the group this week, most are 'work in progress'....

...work by Karen Turton on the theme of trees and bark....












...loved this, twin needle pattern stitch on organza.

...sample test piece for colour and stitch based on an enlarged cell....


....wip on final piece on velvet and devore, coloured with fabric paints and machine embroidered...




....velvet and Silko double dyed after application of Devore Paste, the lower sample has been printed over using a wooden block.

....this is a frieze/scroll of underwater sea scape using many techniques including printing, machine/hand embroidery, very effective....



....this piece is for a book and has 3 layers, top is hand embroidered shadow work on organza over printed fish on angelina fibre, great effect.

....spider web hand stitched on organza as a sample of shadow work...


....Linsey created a stencil based on a spider web and used Devore Paste on velvet then painted, lovely effect...


...wip bugs, butterflies on hand dyed fabrics, machine/hand embroidered.

....worked on Pansy theme, hand made stencil on black velvet using Devore Paste...

  1. What a variety of techniques and final results. I have had devote paste in my stash for years but have yet to be brave enough to use it ... Maybe I will now I've seen these results.
