1st day was learning about using devore paste on silk/viscose velvet....
....small leaf shape stencil placed on the back of the fabric, secured with masking tape, devore paste applied, dried with a hair dryer then ironed until pasted area was brown.....
....rub fabric to remove velvet fluff and this is the result!
Here I used a template and the same procedure....

...after painting with Koh-I-Nor paint.
I used a freezer paper stencil for this and much more successful than a card stencil when fine detail is required, this is ready for rubbing to remove velvet...
....ready for dyeing/painting and stitch.
An enjoyable day learning to use a new , versatile product.
