Storm Freya raged yesterday but just raining with a breeze today!
Everybody is busy, busy creating and sharing their ideas, just great.
Today Anne gave a demo of Devore Paste on calico and silko -silk/cotton mix- .......
....this shows paste on calico...
....after drying and ironing, unfortunately I was a little 'heavy handed ' with the paste and this piece fell away!!!
...leaves or hearts, rather like the organic edge when the fabric is 'burnt' away with the paste....
...the silko with paste added, stencil and paint brush...
...result, loose silk threads....
....might try some drawn thread work on these.
Dyeing with Koh-I-Nor ready for some stitching.

I want to make a lily picture so made this sample to see if my idea worked..
...freezer paper resist with dyes applied with a brush, cocktail stick and kebab skewer to make the dots!
