Greetings from a very wet and windy Cornwall!!
Yesterday morning the sun was trying to peep through the clouds so I decided to walk down to the beach....
....signs of spring everywhere.....
....saw 3 seals....
...enjoyed listening to the waves break on the shore...
....collected shells, seaweed and a small cuttle fish...
...will enjoy working with my beach finds!
Look at the state of my boots!!!
Back at the studio lots of prep for my pictures, lily petals made from silk velvet and painted....
....artichoke base painted on silk organza over glass...
.....dyeing pieces of fabric for the 'leaves'
....samples for my sketch book, devore paste on calico to make the circle...
....sample of drawn thread work on threads left after Devore paste stencilled on Silko fabric....
....free hand Devore paste on calico then dyed and stitched.
Today I want to try and develop my pictures and stitch some more samples.
