Creating Cards from my Stash!

10th October 2018

While I have been sorting/unpacking  my craft supplies I made a 'Work in Progress' box......

....this was an experiment using dissolvable film, organza flower shapes and free machine embroidery made into a bowl BUT I think I washed out too much 'glue' and the bowl was very floppy...

....cut out shapes ready for a batch of cards...

...4" square cards...

....I made the red background a few years ago when I was layering ribbons/fabrics and practising machine embroidery, added a simple white felt shape to make a Christmas card....

....also from years ago, painted handmade paper stitched onto Khadi paper for a beach scene...

....the tree is cut out from hand made fabric made using dissolvable film, threads, fabric scraps and free machining...

...a very simple idea found on Pinterest...

....beautiful embroidered ribbon embellished with beads.

Went for a walk and found these wonderful seed heads.

TA - DA, I finished my throw just in time for cold winter evenings!!

I think I started it, to use up 4 ply wool sock yarn, about 18 months ago, I so enjoyed making this but stitching the squares together took AGES!!!

Hand painted cotton using Brusho ready for stitching a note book cover.

Off to Ally Pally tomorrow for more basic supplies and inspiration........
