A FANTASTIC DAY!!!

28th February 2016

Last night I prepared some rust/eco dyed fabrics....

......cotton fabric soaking in a solution of 50% white vinegar/water with a small piece of copper tubing...

....the steamer, this must be the secret to success as boiling does not give the same results....

....ferns and very fine pieces of wire wool...

....fabric folded and rolled tightly around a thin copper tube...

....tied with string....

....leaves and small strands of wire wool....

...rolled/tied/clamped...

....old rusty bolts/screws and metal....

....folded and rolled around a wooden rolling pin...

....all placed in the steamer for about 45 minutes...

....the fern...

....leaves....

...bolts...
