Had a good prom walk this morning, icy wind and crashing waves but DRY and BRIGHT!!
Took my machine to a guy who has since rung me to say he can fix it for £30, probably ready tomorrow.... fingers crossed!
Came home and put a chicken broth in the slow cooker and wheaten bread is in the oven as I write this blog!
Went to my loft space and stitched the spine on two of my books, couldn't find exactly what I wanted on You Tube so 'did my own thing'......
....some weaving using perla thread...
.....the front cover, hand made felt and organza flowers...
....my book for my 'gardens' course in March, I used cotton lace in the binding....

A friend has just retired and he is an enthusiastic cyclist so made him a card.....
......drew the design with the water soluble pen .....
.....embroidered on old linen, front wheel a bit wonky because I pulled the threads too tight!!!
I then frayed the edges and stitched onto Khadi handmade paper, a good way to mount a fabric card!
Fairly pleased with the result.

I enjoy browsing Pinterest and have a few boards, saw this idea today and as I didn't have my machine decided to play....
....the purple is Khadi paper and the other is my own hand made paper with a square torn out...
....used some of my silk threads from Vietnam...
....a little weaving and stitching.....
....really enjoyed doing this but not sure what I will do with it!!!!
Any ideas would be welcome.....
....watch this space for the finished bag when I get my machine back!
