A Promenade Walk and Another Bowl!

A grey, wet and windy day here in Blackpool......

....still went for a long walk as I wanted to buy a large hoop and see the yarn bombing in South Shore....

......monster bollards, made me smile....

.....walking south along the prom, in the rain and wind, passed South Pier....

....this is the end of the pier, if you look at the pole on the right you will see a person in a 'sling' who has been hoisted up....

.....the person is now swinging, very fast, over the sea!!!!

The little speck on the left is the person. 

I can't imagine anything worse than that!!!

Further along we saw this structure in the sea quite near the prom....

.....the drill was HUGE...

...rather like this shape.

There was nothing /nobody to explain what was happening!

Arrived at the Solaris Park and saw this 'bug hotel' structure.

Passed a charity shop on the way home and bought this cake stand for £1....

....all these brushes for £3...

....and this album, which I am going to cover and make into a sketchbook/journal, for £1...

.....it has lovely thick textured pages.

I do love a bargain!!!

Arrived home and decided to try another bowl with this 11" hoop....

....laid pieces of silk/organza onto the soluble fabric....

.....stitched, trying to cover all the fabric this time....

.....rinsed in warm water and placed over a bowl to dry....

.....fingers crossed this bowl is an improvement on the last!!!

I did use more fabric/stitching and didn't rinse for too long so the 'glue' should  help with the shape.
