Using my Shibori indigo Dyed Fabrics....

24th January 2018

This last week I have been making cards for  family and friends birthdays, I have 8 in February and March!!

I have also been looking through my boxes of hand dyed fabrics and came across quite a few samples of Shibori Indigo from last year in Cornwall....

....I was so thrilled when I took this out of the vat....

.....found some more small experimental fabrics.....

....I dabbed bleach on this indigo dyed fabric snippet ....

....result after 5 minutes...

....more experimental samples ironed on Bondaweb...

....cut out circles to stitch, probably Kantha stitch, on the base fabric...

....I am thinking this could be made into a cushion cover after slow stitching!

Also finished this little 'collectors bag' for my gorgeous granddaughter, it has bells on it!!!!

I am off to London and a new house sit tomorrow but have been making up small bags of stitching and crochet projects to take with me, so watch this space......
