An Enjoyable Workshop with Anne Brooke

Today went to a workshop with Anne Brooke.....

....Anne began by talking about her work and showing samples of her sketchbooks.....

....on the left her 'doodles', on the right doodles cut out with various papers and centre the stitched sample....

....I love this sample of cow parsley, machine and hand stitching....

.....on the right before stitch, on the left papers free machined.

We went back to our tables and began our own pieces, I was using a variety of papers/fabrics....

....before stitching....

.....after, these photos do not show the texture of the papers...

....then I began to make the 'flower/seed heads' by cutting wallpaper and fabric...

......stitched using free machining...

.....just need to hand embroider.

It was so good at the end of the day to display our work....
