I have been absent for quite a while, this is only my 2nd post in 2020!!
For the first couple of weeks I just couldn't motivate myself then joined the Isobelle Moore group on fb and spent a couple of days playing.....
...I stitched a selection of organza shapes onto bondaweb calico....
...when finished cut into strips to make backgrounds for cards...
...added free machine embroidery and appliqué, these are for my McMillan stall later in the year.
>>>>>>>>>
Layered a variety of textured papers onto bondaweb on calico....
....painted over using Koh in Or dyes.....
...when dry coated with acrylic wax to seal.
Next arranged strips of lace, handmade thread fabric, felt and yarns, left this arrangement for a couple of days to make sure I was happy with the arrangement!
Final piece with added hand embroidery, it is now on my wall in the hallway.
This piece reflects how I was feeling, on the right a very 'busy brain' and on the left becoming calmer!!
>>>>>>>>
The process for thread/snippet fabric.
Snippets and threads were laid on washaway adhesive fabric...
....covered in dissolvable film....
...and stitched....
..the back...
...the front...
...after immersing in warm water.
When dry cut to shape and add to give super texture!

I finished this from a couple of years ago...
...have been stitching my £3 charity shop find from last year..
....and am making a strip for my large wooden reel as part of 'sew4thesoul'by Hannemade.
I am very fortunate to live just a 5 min walk from Richmond Park and have been going for walks there as it is very easy to social distance. We are so lucky to have this amazing weather!
KEEP WELL
Wow Love this earlier work Itene, I know what you mean about liss of motivation. I cannot remember a time when I felt less motivated! As soon as the council stopped us going down to garden at the park, I packed all my park stuff away. Just when I could have been applying for funds completely lost my Mojo & still struggling to get back on track. Although we are back at the park thankfully. Keep up the good work Irene
