Festival of Quilts

10th August 2018

I won 2 tickets for the 'Festival of Quilts' at the NEC Birmingham from the textile artist Deborah O'Hare so went yesterday with my sister. It was a long, tiring day but very enjoyable. I went to see Deborah to thank her for the tickets and bought her brilliant book which she signed for me....

...I had a good look round the stands, bought Khadi paper, silk threads and dissolvable film, all of which I will use....

...after my picnic lunch I looked at the quilts, all amazing but I just took photos of the ones I really liked which were mostly in the contemporary category....

....did not really appeal to me until I read the info and took a closer look....
