Day 1 on Course with Anne Griffiths and some very Talented Ladies!

Woke up this morning at 7.30 and this was the view from my bed.....

.....the sea....

....sun breaking through the clouds....

....our cottage kitchen....

.....living room.

Went over to the studio and had a demonstration of the use of Transfer Dyes/Paints....

....then it was PLAY TIME....

....transfer crayons, made a rubbing of one of my wooden blocks...

....fabric print after being ironed...

.....splodges combed....

.....transfer on left, fabric on right....

.....more rubbings on wooden blocks for an all over background...

......print on the left on organza, a delicate background ready for more printing/painting/stitching.

After a splendid lunch at the farmhouse, sweet potato/coconut soup-DELICIOUS, freshly made bread rolls, ham, hummus, cheese board and fruit we went to Truro to a wonderful fabric shop. I have never seen such a range of beautiful threads, needless to say I just had to buy one or two!!

Looking forward to tomorrow.....
