Already half way through August and the weather has been very mixed here in London.
I have enjoyed walks and watching amazing seed heads develop in the garden borders and beside paths, picking some to put in a vase at home.....
...a friend brought me these from her allotment, so delicate, I decided to weave them using a papery yarn, it is now on the wall in my hallway .....
...I am thinking of sticking these in a small oasis wreath as a door decoration...
....a small arrangement of some grasses, seed heads and feathers in a lovely charity shop find ceramic vase...
....shadow on my work table from my vase of seed heads.

I have been asked to have a craft table at a McMillan Fundraiser so a friend and I have been making some key rings and pendants using supplies from our stash...

Made some felt using fleece from my stash, wove strips...
...then used the embellisher, a good solid felt to make a simple glasses case, again for the fundraiser....
....hand dyed fleece embellished on wool felt, more textured than the last piece...
....I thought the back was interesting!

Last but not least my son took me out for lunch to celebrate my birthday and I ordered this AMAZING dessert! Chocolate bomb enclosing crunchy ice cream sitting in a mousse and salted caramel sauce poured over, it was soooo delicious, I savoured every mouthful! Also had lunch with my daughter the previous week in a lovely little fish restaurant and with my sister on my actual birthday where I had pancakes, crispy bacon, caramelised banana and maple syrup!!!
This photo shows my dessert in a large ceramic dish, a work of art!
I rarely eat out so it really has been special and great to spend quality time with family.
